To start the process, COVID 19 Vaccination was inaugurated by Chief Guest Deputy Mayor Tshering Palden Bhutia , Commissioner cum Secretary Health Department D Anandan,  Health care workers, ASHAs and parents of children aged 15-18 years.

Commissioner cum Secretary Health Department D Anandan, gave an overview of the COVID 19 vaccination for children aged 15-18 years. She highlighted the importance of the ‘covaxin’ vaccine for children between 15 to 18 years. The children aged 15 years or more will be able to register and book the slot on cowin.gov.in and the venue is at 40 centres across the state.  The interval between two doses is 28 days. The documents needed are Aadhar card, Ration card or school identity card etc, to be given at the time of registration and at vaccination centers by children from 15 to 18 years.
