Two women suspects held for Teacher’s murder

Gangtok, June 23:
One 50 years old teacher by profession was brutally killed in Upper Lingchom  in Pelling-Dentam Road in West Sikkim yesterday allegedly by two women, Kalpana Gurung and Bina Rai. Both the accused have been captured as the suspects of the murder and has been registered as murder case in nearest Police Station. The body of the dead has been taken to STNM Gangtok for post mortem. Currently, the case is under investigation. The victim was teacher at Sardung, West Sikkim.
Must tell, victim and accused were in a drunken state as per source. It was also informed that the accused women were on their way home when they got into a violent scuffle for reasons unknown so far. All the three hailed from Sardung.
The deceased, identified as Garjaman Gurung was a government primary teacher. He succumbed to head injuries due to alleged stone pelting by the two accused women. His body was found in a nearby drain.
Geyzing police are investigating the case. The body has been sent to STNM Hospital, Gangtok for post-mortem.
