Denzong Sherpa Assoiation celebrates 107th birth anniversary of Late Tenzing Norgay Sherpa 

Gangtok, May 29:
Today is 107th birth anniversary of the Late Tenzing Norgay Sherpa who was the first climbers to reach the peak of Mt Everest more than six decades ago for the first time on May 29, 1953, creating history along with Edmund Hilary as a part of British expedition later it was also celebrated ass Mt Everest Day. Commemorating the same Denzong Sherpa Association celebrated the 14th International Everest Day on the occasion of 107th Birth Anniversary of Late Tenzing Norgay Sherpa in a small function organized at Tenzing-Hillary Park, Uttarey, West Sikkim. The celebration duly followed the Covid Protocols. President  Pema Wangchuk Sherpa along with members offered prayers and tribute to late Tenzing Norgay Sherpa on the occasion. Denzong Sherpa Association reiterates its demand of the BHARAT RATNA to Tenzing Norgay Sherpa for his contribution to our Great Nation of India. Further, DSA also paid tribute to all those who lost their life due to the Coronavirus around the World.
