All Sikkim Student Association (ASSA) heavily come down on ruling Sikkim Krantikari Morcha government pertaining to the issue of Geyzing college students expulsion and attack student Arun Limboo.
What government has done with the Geyzing college students and attacked student Arun Limboo is condemnable act. Ruling government his celebrating Students Rights Day is just an eye wash and actually they don’t care for students said Mahesh Rai, Research Scholar and former President of Siikkim University Students’ Association (SUSA) who recently resigned over the same issue.
All Sikkim Student Association (ASSA) today cries injustice to the students of Geyzing government college. They also condemned the attack on student Arun Limboo.
ASSA comes forward in support of the Arun Limboo and Expelles students of Geyzing government college.
Nishant Chettri former President of Sikkim Representative Council (SRC) Tadong government college said ‘ people are students have not not voted SKM to power to see these days.
Mahesh Rai while talking about next course of action said “we will take collective step, we have gathered here to hold presser so tomorrow we may be able to bring more students so we will act collectively and today’s presser is just a first step. And in coming days we will try build more consensus.
Must tell here four students of Geyzing were expelled as they have reached Education department , Gangtok seeking early completion of their college campus. The construction progress of college campus is not satisfactory, they maintained and later they were expelled by the college authority on discipline ground.
Similarly, recently one research scholar Arun Limboo was beaten by SKM party members before that Arun Limboo had burnt down the manifesto of SKM party saying SKM has failed to work on their manifesto promises and also raise the issue of illegal quarrying
