Litterateur Amar Baniya ‘Lohoro’ to get ‘Abhaydewa Puraskar 2021’

Kerala based literary organisation Bhasha Samanwaya Vedi has decided to confer ‘Abhaydewa Puraskar 2021’ to Sikkim’s Litterateur Amar Baniya ‘Lohoro’. Bhasha Samanwaya Vedi was established in the year 1990 and it encourages the translation work of recognised Indian languages. The organisation is a group of people who loves language and literature mostly composed of lecturers and professors. Mr Baniys is receiving the award for his poetry collection Manav which was published in the year 2012 and later translated into Hindi and the award is conferred for his translation work. The award committee has shortlisted his name after considering various criteria. 

Retired soldier and now Litterateur Amar Baniya in a media interaction shared “It means a lot for me as far as my literary journey is concerned and this award has added more energy to work for more. This was a small attempt to translate and it is being noticed by the organisation I am happy as my small effort has been observed. 

Must tell the organisation has invited me Mr Baniya to receive the award on 30th February 2022.
