Gangtok, Nov 18:

Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is not helping state to come up with the solution for various endangered crops or rather to treat infected crops said State Agriculture Minister Lok Nath Sharma.

Minister said “last year I have apprised and invited ICAR to do some research on infection in Oranges, low productivity of Large Cardamom, Ginger and other few things in villages so that Sikkim can once again increase the productivity of these crops which used to be Sikkim’s pride but due to some reason we have not able to produce well but it was not taken seriously  by ICAR but now slowly our relations are getting better and I have clearly told them to do some research so that state can revive these crop production and our farmers once again produce these crops which is our pride.
