Gangtok, Jan 9:
Sikkim chapter of Bharatiya Janta Party led by Gangtok MLA Yong Tshering Lepcha took out a peace rally condemning the alleged PM’s security breach in Punjab on Saturday. As a part of the rally Gangtok MLA from BJP party Yong Tshering along with other party supporters also lit 108 candles and offered prayers for the long life of the Prime Minister.
Legislator Lepcha while talking to media shared “the entire nation is sad and has expressed grief about the recent incident happened with PM Narendra Modi at Punjab and Sikkim too stands along with the nation at this moment and with PM. The BJP Sikkim chapter condemned such act on behalf of the state. He also added PM Modi is a successful and good leader of the nation.

Legislator along with its supporters also offered their prayers and lighted 108 candles and they prayed for PM Modi’s Long life at Thakurbari (Temple). Thereafter, the crowd holding a banner saying “we strongly condemned the conspiracy against our beloved PM in Punjab” encircled the Gangtok town and ended their rally at MG Marg which is the heart of the Gangtok town.
But the BJP President and other key BJP members were not present during the rally. Yong Tshering Lepcha is the MLA of Gangtok Constituency from BJP party and holds the post of Vice President in Bharatiya Janta Party Sikkim chapter.
